                      CUSTODY DEFINITIONS IN VIRGINIA

 

 

             Custody refers to legal or physical custody. Legal custody and physical custody are not the same.

 

 

                 Legal Custody                                        Physical Custody

 

   Legal custody refers to the decision-making             Physical custody refers to the parent with
